This policy explains how the Pressure Notes Android app handles information. The app is published by Pressure Notes.
Website and locally hosted fonts
This privacy policy primarily explains the Pressure Notes Android app. The companion website is a static information site and does not provide app accounts, collect blood-pressure readings, or use analytics or advertising.
The website stores your light or dark theme selection and your language selection in your browser's local storage. These preferences stay in your browser and are not sent to Pressure Notes. Before you make a language selection, the website may use your browser's preferred languages to choose between the English and Hungarian versions locally in your browser.
When you visit the website, the web-hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information, such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested page, and request time, to deliver and secure the website. The provider may retain that information under its own terms and retention practices.
The website uses locally hosted copies of DM Sans and DM Serif Display obtained from Google Fonts. The font files are served from this website, so loading them does not connect your browser to Google or send request information to Google for font delivery.
Local storage and health data
Pressure Notes processes profile names, blood-pressure readings, pulse values, measurement dates and times, time zones, measurement sites, notes, drafts, revision history, Trash, reminder schedules and activity, and app settings locally on your Android device to provide recording, history, charts, reminders, export, and backup features. Blood-pressure, pulse, and related information may be health data and should be treated as sensitive.
Pressure Notes does not measure blood pressure or pulse and does not connect to a measuring device. Measurements are entered manually by the user or restored from a backup. The app provides an interface for storing, organizing, charting, and exporting information that could otherwise be recorded on paper or using another tool.
Editing a reading creates revision history that may retain its previous values. That revision history remains associated with the reading until the reading or its profile is permanently deleted from the app.
The app does not operate user accounts or developer-side servers. It does not transmit this information to the developer, Google, advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties. The app does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, or internet access.
Reminders are scheduled locally through Android. If you grant notification permission, Android may display reminder notifications and process the information needed to schedule and deliver them. On an unlocked device, a notification may show the profile name and reminder label. The public lock-screen version is generic, and notifications do not include blood-pressure readings.
The app contains no third-party service that transmits your health information. Android and Google Play may process information independently of the app as part of operating the device or distributing the app; this policy does not describe those separate services.
Exports, sharing, and backups
You may choose to export, share, or create a password-encrypted backup using Android. These actions are initiated by you. Exported files and backups may contain sensitive health information.
Ordinary CSV, XLSX, PDF, and audit ZIP exports are not encrypted unless you select the password-encrypted package option. Full app backups are password-encrypted and may include all profiles, current and trashed readings, revision history, drafts, reminder schedules and activity, and app settings.
Once a file leaves the app, it is controlled by the storage location, service, application, or recipient you choose. That party may process the file under its own privacy policy. You are responsible for choosing trusted destinations and deleting copies you no longer need.
Deletion and security
When you move information to the app's Trash, it can be restored for up to 60 days. Emptying Trash deletes those items from the app's managed storage and cannot be undone. This does not guarantee removal of device-level remnants or copies held by Android, and copies exported or backed up outside the app must be deleted separately. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data may also remove local app data, subject to Android device behavior.
The app uses local encryption for its stored database and password-encrypted backups. No security measure is perfect: local encryption cannot protect data on an unlocked or compromised device. If you lose the password for an encrypted backup, the app cannot recover that backup for you.
Data stored in the app remains on your device until it is permanently deleted, it is purged from Trash, you uninstall the app, clear its data, or Android otherwise removes it. Editing a reading does not delete its earlier revision history. Drafts, reminders, and other app records may have their own in-app expiry or lifecycle rules. Exported files, backups, and copies sent to another app or storage location are subject to that destination's retention and deletion practices.
Support correspondence
If you email support, your email address and the information you include are transmitted to the developer and processed to respond to your request, investigate problems, and maintain the security and reliability of the app. The email provider may also process that correspondence under its own terms.
Do not send health exports, backups, passwords, or health information by email. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to address the request, maintain appropriate records, or comply with legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live and whether data-protection law applies to the local processing, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to request data portability. Because the app is local-only, you can generally exercise these controls directly in the app, including by editing or deleting your data. You can contact us with questions or a rights request at the email address below.
